So, there goes my "free" time
1. I got in a proposal for a writing center studies project on professional (as opposed to peer) tutors. I"m focusing on the role of professional tutors (who generally have advanced degrees in comp/rhet or literature -- we have one historian, yay!) working with STEM students. Not entirely happy with it, but they made it due just a few days after final grades had to be in. You'd think academics might think about those deadline times, but all the conference proposal deadlines are always at awkward times as well. We'll see.
2. At the eleventh hour, the Writing Center is being funded for limited summer hours. Going in today to try to get the HR paperwork taken care of, since I'm away most of next week. I've also got some leftover funds to spend by June 30, and staffers interested in doing projects for me, so hoping to organize that today. Tomorrow we're going to the Bowie exhibit, which means a lot of togetherness with my love . . . but they make it hard for me to focus.
3. JuNoWriMo stuff going on over in my main journal, at least for now.
